Welcome to second grade! I am excited to be utilizing Class Dojo this year. Parents you will love the immediate feedback and constant contact this system will allow us to maintain. In addition to weekly reports, you can choose to get immediate information about your child’s behavior. Your child will be rewarded with positive (green) Dojo Points when they are exhibiting model behavior and negative (red) Dojo Points when they are not following classroom expectations. Attached is a list of behaviors and their associated points. If your child reaches a net goal of 20 points per week and has 85% positive or higher, they will receive an incentive (candy box or homework pass). The monthly net goal is 70 points with 85% positive or higher and will be rewarded with a prize from our prize box. All children who have 180 points and have 90% positive or higher at the end of the nine weeks will be invited to an afterschool Positive Behavior Celebration. These goals may be adjusted throughout the year or individualized to meet specific student needs.
